About Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio is a non-profit prevention-based
agency that serves the community by providing
quality mentoring relationships to children and youth in need of a friend.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has a rich history of
nurturing friendships between caring adult volunteers and promising
children and youth. For 75 years, Big Brothers Big
Sisters has served many thousands of children and youth in Franklin,
Delaware, and Union counties through its mentoring
and camping programs.
Big Brothers Big Sisters impacts the lives of more than 4,800 children and
youth in the central Ohio area each year through
its mentoring programs, including Community-Based and School-Based
Mentoring programs such as Project Mentor, and
Group Mentoring at Camp Oty'Okwa. Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring
programs provide an individual Big Brother/Big Sister
or a Couple/Family match to children in need of a friend, producing
mutually rewarding experiences for both the Big and the
Little. Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs are available to
children and youth who live in Franklin, Delaware, and
Union counties.
